Hey there and welcome to Rachilli! My name is Rachel and this is my personal portfolio.
Having completed a HND in Interactive Media at 19, a year earlier than most, I recently decided to take a risk and make a big jump into the industry.
I was 11 when I first discovered that I loved design. I remember seeing designs on websites and wondering how they were made. I started to learn how to code simple websites. Although I carried this on as a hobby, I didn't realise how strongly I wanted to work in design until I was 17. Having struggled in my first year at a sixth form, I decided I wanted to focus completely on design & enrolled on a HND Interactive Media course, where I was allowed to start the course a year early.
I am an extremely hard-working & dedicated person. Often I will work on a design until I am 100% happy with it, even if that means I am sometimes up til the early hours. I am quite the perfectionist and don't stop until I am happy with the way something turns out - whether that is when I'm writing, designing or coding. I am also massively passionate and eager to learn. I love to design, but when I'm not designing I love to read and to sing. I hoard fabric, felt and ribbon ready for whenever I am struck by a creative lightning, and I have a sewing machine at my side. Letting off steam in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is also one of my favourite pastimes.
I am also an active member of Creative Boom, where I also am one of a pair that runs the Manchester Social Boom.
